iBlack theme now available from Tumblr
The iBlack theme is now available from Tumblr itself. For those who use it in it’s vanilla state (no customizations of you own) I recommend installing the official Tumblr version. Like that, if I find any bugs you’ll get them fixed automatically. official demo link | official install link

Uranium Ore from Amazon.com
I bumped into this hilarious customer review on the can of (apparently real) Uranium ore on amazon.com: (4 out of 5 stars) Ok for cleaning teeth, not so great for killing ants.. Picked this up for use in one of my kid’s ‘diversity’ projects in school (Great Success!), and stuck the leftovers in the cabinet next to the baking soda. Ran out of toothpaste, and remembered...

Want my theme for your tumblr?
Hopefully you’ll be able to use it soon because I submitted it for approval by the Tumblr staff. This theme came out pretty nice I think. It has: a slick, Apple inspired look and feel pretty photo posts with a ‘sunscreen’ overlay pretty tags display built-in reblog display so you can ditch the default ‘via: blah’. built-in tag cloud using Heather’s code ...

Is design the only non-dead end road in web...
Sometimes I wonder for how long my web development skills which have been acquired by pure hard labor are going to be relevant. Call me overdramatic but … still! Apparently we’re gonna see a new wave rebirth of table based layouts so easy that any crackmonkey can do it. (source) Javascript 2.0 appears to be going ‘classic OO’ because it was apparently too difficult to...

Welcome to my Tumblr
Even though I had already posted a few other entries I’m going to declare this post my official Tumblr opening post. For years I used to have a section called ‘The Side Salads’ on my blog. I used these entries for smaller posts that I didn’t want to replace larger articles on the main page. I believe Tumblr fills the gap between what I do on my Twitter and my blog, while...

What I really miss in Rock Band
As much as I love Rock Band, there’s one thing in the game that annoys the living crap out of me: difficulty and character selection during ad-hoc sessions. This weekend Pam and I played Rock Band with Addie and her friend Star and it was such a pain to have to go through these selections over and over again. If the game would have had the possibility of storing ‘preset party...

Giving Tumblr a go
I’m giving Tumblr a go. It may be interesting to replace the ‘side salads’ on my blog with Tumblr content. Let’s see how this goes…
