One of the few government funded things that doesn’t nearly get enough money. Imagine what NASA would be doing if they had the defense budget…

I think taking money from people even for space exploration is immoral. But I think the private sector is making moves with regards to space exploration that rivals that of NASA.

While I essentially agree, in the light of all the other money taken from people for things that are substantially more immoral than space exploration (which essentially benefits all of humanity) it’s probably one of the lesser evils, so to say.

And yes, it’s really exciting to see the private industry venture into space. I have no doubt that it will eventually surpass government funded accomplishments.
